Small World – modrums & La Lin
- 4:30 pm - 8:30 pm | Thursday June 20, 2024
- Lobby | Ace Hotel New York
Deep cuts from around the globe: join deep diggers and selecters sharing their favorite deep cuts and local hits from around the world. In June, Modrums invites Linda Artola, to join him at the booth. Linda, better known as La Lin, is from Diriamba, Nicaragua. Music and dancing has always been an essential part of La Lin’s life. As a kid, she recorded her favorite hits on cassettes (and then CDs) to keep the party going. Her tapes included rock, pop, cumbias, salsa, quebraditas, merengue and whatever would catch her ear. When she moved to NY, new worlds of music were added to her repertoire. She collects vinyl and enjoys selecting songs to make people dance or feel nostalgic, or both. La Lin is part of DiscoLocas, a club of women vinyl DJs.
